Structural Work Process

1. Initial Site Survey

   We begin with a detailed inspection of the existing structure, identifying any weaknesses, movement, cracks, or load issues before works start.

2. Engineering Assessment

   Our structural engineers carry out load calculations, soil checks (if required), and prepare safe solutions that comply with UK building regulations.

3. Planning & Approvals

   We prepare drawings, submit to Building Control, and liaise with surveyors. All approvals and permits are obtained before work starts.

4. Temporary Supports

   Before removing or altering any structural element, we install strong props or scaffolding to ensure stability and site safety.

5. Demolition & Preparation

   We carefully remove non-load bearing parts, cut openings, and prepare foundations or pockets for new steel beams, pads, or underpinning.

6. Steelwork & Reinforcement

   We install beams, RSJs, lintels, and reinforcements exactly to spec—aligned, level, and securely bolted or welded into place.

7. Load Transfer & Removal of Props

   Once permanent structures are in place, we gradually transfer loads, checking settlement and removing temporary supports safely.

8. Final Inspection & Sign-off

   We complete a full inspection with you and Building Control. Certificates, warranties, and as-built drawings are provided for records.
